This two-day paediatric first aid course focuses on emergency scenarios that face those looking after young children and infants.
This course meets the requirements of OFSTED and the EYFS statutory framework.
DAY ONE:- Aims and Principles of First Aid Managing an Incident Recording Accident and Incidents Unconsciousness and Recovery Position Diabetes and Poisoning Epilepsy and Convulsions Shock, Fainting and Anaphylactic Shock Disorders of Respiration ( Hypoxia ) Asthma and Choking Resuscitation ( C P R – Child & Baby )
DAY TWO:- First Aid Boxes and Internal Bleeding External Bleeding and Wounds Application of Dressings and Slings Eye Injuries, Bites and Stings Foreign Bodies (Eyes, Ears and Nose) Electric Shock Burns and Scalds Hypothermia and Heat Stroke Joint and Muscle Injuries Fractures (including Head, Neck and Back Injuries) Meningitis and Sickle Cell Anaemia

All delegates are issued with a Paediatric First Aid Manual and on successful completion of the course will be awarded an approved Paediatric First Aid certificate which is valid for 3 years.
